DCIM Technology
Direct Compounding Injection Molding (DCIM) saves 0.5 kilowatt-hours per kilogram of material. Extrapolated to the plastics industry, this equates to energy savings in Germany alone equivalent to at least one nuclear power plant! Developed by Exipnos and brought to series production readiness by Yizumi in 2019, the process combines compounding and injection molding into a single operation. Energy- and time-consuming intermediate steps such as granulation and remelting are eliminated.
